Hudson River State Hospital- Spring 2006 Admin Coaster
One of the most magical and influential days of my life was in my freshman year of college, spring 2006. I met my exploring pals and we went to a place I had never heard of... or seen anything like this before. This place was different than the hospitals on Long Island I had already explored.
Even though we spent 6 hours there and I shot with two cameras, it wasn't enough time and I didn't take enough pictures that were in focus. This image is one of the exceptions! It came out clear and offers a unique perspective that was once shared by the patients and staff who resided here.
The main building, the kirkbride; suffered a fire the following year, resulting in collapse of the roof you see here. The roof has been rebuilt as of recently and the beautiful trees have been removed. The spot in which I am standing in no longer exists.
Grab this super special, one of a kind magical coaster of one of my favorite moments.
