ART Square Coaster

What was once almost garbage was salvaged and turned into one of my most beautiful and magical creations!

Quick story! While I was in the studio pouring, I was planning to make a clear coaster. Some unwanted glitter got in the piece mid pour. I tried to get it out, but the resin was quickly thickening and becoming hot (exothermic reaction) and almost unusable. I had to switch gears and let go that I wasn't making the clear coaster that night, but something even cooler!

I knew that any pigment and glitter added at this point would stay suspended in the resin because of how thick it had gotten. I quickly picked out some of my favorite pigments to use and some varying glitters and got to work. I felt like I was painting and making a potion all at once. I had the BEST time making this piece and really love how it turned out after almost not existing at all.

This piece opened up a whole new realm of possibilities I want to explore. This piece is the *FIRST* of many one of a kind, abstract pieces to come.
